I am so honored to be a part of The Heart Project, a collaborative fundraiser for the American Heart Association. This project was designed and executed by fellow Iowan Jamie at Hands On: As We Grow in honor of Ellie Jo, a 4-year old cousin in her family. Ellie Jo was born with a congenital heart defect and will one day need a heart transplant. Donations to the American Heart Association help fund research that can help Ellie Jo and others suffering from heart conditions.
Jamie came up with the idea for The Heart Project eBook, which features over 100 photos of heart-shaped art, crafts, food and other items from 70+ bloggers. The book is amazing and each photo unique and inspiring. While I'm excited about the 2 projects we have featured in the book, I'm more excited at how this fundraiser will bless individuals like Ellie Jo. I hope you'll join us on this journey to raise $1000 by Valentine's Day for AHA.
