The Sunday Showcase: Acorns

SO many great fall/Halloween posts this week, but I just fell in love with all of the acorn ideas on Hey Mommy, Chocolate Milk. Her Acorn-Palooza post is fabulous! Have acorns? She has an idea (or 3) for you!

The Sunday Showcase: Cats!

I only have 1 feature this week because things have been kinda crazy around the Farmer household. I chose this because Sweet P wants to be a cat for Halloween and this costume is too adorable for words!

Crafts-N-Things for Children shared this SUPER cute DIY black cat tutorial. Love the pink ribbon additions!

The Sunday Showcase: Pumpkin Activities

I love PUMPKINS. LOVE. Ours didn't work out this year so we don't have any from the farm and I can't tell you how sad I am about that! So how do I cope? With pumpkin crafts and activities of course! Here are a few of my favs from last week's Showcase.

Playdough to Plato has an adorable activity packet based on the rhyme The 5 Little Pumpkins. It is TOO cute!

Mari from A Mom Not a Pro shared these adorable favors! I bet that pumpkin play dough smells A-MAY-ZING! And what a great way to recycle baby food jars!

And this art project using fist prints to make pumpkins from Putti's World is just genius!

The Sunday Showcase: Mermaids

LOVED last week's showcase! SO many great posts and activities, but this week 2 really stood out to me and they were both about Mermaids!

The first is from Reading Confetti and I have to admit I am a bit obsessed with this activity and am in the process of making a set for Sweet for our next roadtrip. Can you say LOVE?!

The other is from the Queen of TP Crafts, Miss Red Ted Art! Super stinkin' cute, right?! I just love the real shells for her top and the sequins for her tail! Can't wait to do this with Sweet P, too!

The Sunday Showcase: Matthew West

Howdy from Dallas, TX! Welcome to another week of The Sunday Showcase! I won't be doing features this week since it's been a bit crazy, but I do want to feature what I'm doing this week! I was blessed with opportunity to attend the MOPS convention in Grapevine, TX and rocked out to a Matthew West concert last night! Can you say AWESOME!? 'Cause it totally was.
I wish the photo was a bit better, but it wouldn't do the concert justice anyway!

So many awe-inspiring moments have transpired over the weekend and I am so glad I took the Plunge and came to the conference! Look forward to a more detailed post and about this awesome weekend soon.

The Sunday Showcase: Outdoor Play

Have you checked out last week's Sunday Showcase?! If not, you missed out on some pretty awesome kid-related ideas! This week I was inspired by some fabulous outdoor play ideas.

The messy water balloons from Praises of a Wife and Mommy look like they were a huge hit with the kiddos! We've used cornstarch, water and food coloring before, but never in a water balloon!

We love sidewalk chalk so I thought this Paint by Number Sidewalk Chalk Paint by Little Wonders' Day was an awesome idea! Can't wait to try it with Sweet P!
Sidewalk Chalk Painting

The Good Long Road shared this fabulous list of sand play ideas! Many of these can also be used for indoor play! Super excited to try some of these!

What we've been up to:
Check out what's been going on with the MeMeTales Readathon! It's Week 5, which focuses on Earth-friendly activities and Being Green!
